As part of our Memorial Day Celebration, Congaree Cares was awarded the prestigeous Golden Eagle Award for the works and commitment we have made to those who serve in the United States military. This was awarded to Congaree Cares by the United States Department of Defense and presented to founder Sylvia Drennan by Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette.
Congaree Cares is honored to receive the Golden Eagle Award, as we strive to care for those who serve this great country and honor the ones who paid the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our freedom and security!

Congaree Cares - a nonprofit 501(c)(3)
Congaree Cares was founded in 2020 by Sylvia Corley-Drennan. She has worked in the community over the past 55 years, helping put on programs and events that had never been done within the town. Congaree Cares became a 501(c)(3) organization shortly after its founding because she and her committee wanted to continue bringing events and programs into the community. Some of the events, like their Halloween Spooktacular, bring in thousands of people each year. They also volunteer outside of their community.
